Paramount Park Murcia looks to be taking steps forward - a new plan was revealed in December and approved. If the land is officially purchased in the next month or so it will send the strongest signal yet that the park will be going ahead - exciting times for Murcia!

Property owners and investors looking to branch out into the European market have been advised that 2012 represents an important year in the Spanish property market.

The Spanish Government has extended the reduction in VAT on new properties to the end of the year.

VAT on new properties purchased from the developer remains at 4% until the end of 2012.

Electrical power has been installed at Corvera airport in preparation for the airport opening later this year. The infrastructure is complete and ready for handover.

Corvera airport is widely seen as a hugely positive step forward for the Murcia region because the new airport will be able to handle many more flights into the region from different areas. If the Paramount Theme Park goes ahead this will be the closest airport to the resort.

The Murcia government has announced that it will use 11.8 million in 2012 (5 more than 2011) to promote the tourist attractions of the region and future projects - with particular reference to the Paramount Pictures Theme Park at Alhama de Murcia.
