Corvera airport will NOT open this Summer, it has been confirmed. Minister for Tourism Pedro Cruz admitted that on-going negotiation over various issues will delay the opening of the airport and it will not open this Summer.

Paramount Murcia - will it happen? The company behind the project have not confirmed that they have funding, but the local council confirm that construction will commence Feb 28th. This sounds highly unlikely.
Now a conservation group is taking court action to prevent the project ever being built on the grounds that some of the area earmarked for the development falls within an area classified as a protected natural park.

The President confirmed at a recent press conference that AENA have agreed to run the airport and he was in no doubt that the airport would open in 2013
